I love this idea but the problem is that most people don't trade cards, they just buy them.

I just ordered the 9 pocket version. I'll post details after it arrives and I've had a chance to test it out.

I've seen that too and I know which site you're referring to (it's not the same anymore). But this is a good idea and there's nothing to stop you from offering the same exchange service, if you wanted.

I do like the idea and I wouldn't mind having an official ForceCards exchange apart from my private collection. I would have to overcome one major obstacle though, I don't have many cards available for trade. But I have a thought on how to jump start the program and expand it into lots of other SW sets. I'll have to think about it.

I don't remember where I saw this, but years ago I found a site that let you send in any 2 cards that you wanted and in return you would get any 1 card of your choice. So you would lose two cards but you could get any card on the list that you wanted without negotiating. Kind of like a preapproved trade. It would be great if there could be something like that on this site.

I have some to trade but since this site is so new I'll hold off posting for now.

I'm in the same boat. I'm never satisfied with the containers. That binder looks real nice but $25 is an expensive test to see if it works. I found some reviews on youtube but they were all for game cards and they are smaller and thinner.

Has anyone tried the Legion 9 binder for trading cards? They have decent reviews but those reviews were made for people that collect CCG's and I'm not sure how well the binder will perform for the thicker cards like Star Wars trading cards.

I have not yet found a near-perfect (and reasonably priced option) for storing my cards. It seems like that for every "pro" reason to use product x, there is also a "con" for the same product. I think that companies like Ultra-Pro need to sit down with collectors and chat.

Yeah that is interesting. I find it difficult to believe that Topps would sell direct to vendors when their agreement extended a co-braand to Denny's, that's a bit uncommon. He also has a very low markup of only $1.68 per pack. Compare that to other auctions; I saw one guy selling 10 packs for $100, that's an insane markup. I don't really care for the cards much, but I'm waiting to see what the movie cards look like once they hit shelves.

I checked the area that those cards ship from (Greenville, South Carolina) and there is one Denny's there. I wonder if an employee there hasn't sold them to a vendor in violation of policy to sell no more than 4 per person per visit for paying customers only. Maybe an employee there stole them. Or maybe someone literally eats there every day with others and asked for the boxes too.

I don't know. What do you think?

I can't post the link, it says that my Karma is too low. Go onto ebay and search for:

DENNY'S SOLO:STAR WARS BOX, 80 PACKS. FOIL CARD 1 IN 100

I want this set but there are no Denny's where I live so I looked online. Some guy on ebay is selling 4 boxes of these cards with each box holding 80 packs each. Denny's is supposed to be selling only 4 packs max at a time so how does this guy get so many and with the boxes?

This forum isn't for discussing trades. Instead it is for posting finalized agreements as a matter of record that you can then link back to from your profile page. Positive trade experiences others have with you will help to improve your trust level. For trade discussions use the General trade forum, or the site messaging system. Both parties that have agreed to a trade should post a new thread using the following template:

  • User name of both traders
  • Trade agreement (what's being traded, the condition, etc…)

Any one of the two participating in the trade can start the thread. The other trade partner should reply to concur the trade and the trade agreement. Once the trade is completed and both parties have received their cards, then they should both post a final followup with their review of how well the trade went. Both members can reference the thread as a link on their profile page to develop an ongoing trade history.
